Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is an ongoing series of demonstrations in New York City based in Zuccotti Park in the Wall Street financial district. OWS is protesting social and economic inequality, corporate greed, corruption and influence over government—particularly from the financial services sector—and lobbyists. OWS' slogan, "We are the 99%", refers to the difference in wealth and income growth in the U.S. between the wealthiest 1% and the rest of the population.

We have failed as a society to protect the most valuable capital on Earth, which is, its very own people. As a response to the 2008 Great Recession, which was caused by banking and corporate irresponsible greed, the US Federal Reserve with mandate from Congress and the Administration, chose to bail out the very same “too big to fail” banks and corporations which created the problem in the first place. Yes, multi-national banks and corporations employ people, but their responsibility is towards shareholders and not the army of unemployed, under-employed and self employed, which is left at the mercy of social programs run by the government. In an ecosystem dominated politically, financially and technologically by large corporations, it became increasingly difficult for the little guy to voice an opinion, or make an invention, or publish a story, or be represented. Everything is paid by and owned by some powerful interest group. We are in a dark tunnel and there is no light at the other end.

I am manipulating the art of Behance Network artist Tang Yau Hoong to tell this story. It is a dynamic story that starts from us being inside this very dark tunnel and looking up for light, for air, for hope. The story takes us from Looking to Marching to Demanding to Fighting and eventually to Succeeding. The entire run takes 9 seconds (Funny, how you can solve such a big problem in 9 seconds if you have the right tools!)

Please give the art about 3-5 minutes to settle.
Enjoy!

So far in this developing story, we came to the point where there is confrontation, street violent confrontation. Protester Brandon Watts, who was first to pitch a tent at Zuccotti Park, is now the bloody face of 'Day of Action'.
